Some naturally grow Ivory from their Being to fulfill functionalities specifically tailored for the needs of each Host; These Enamel-coated, off-white protrusions serve as Tools or Defensive Resistance given the proper circumstance. Many Species including Elephants, Narwhals and Rhinos boldly bear the striking silhouette of Ivory; Alike Humans, they have a dominant left or right Tusk that wear down over time from frequent use. While Ivory may resemble Horns, they are in fact the Animal’s enlarged Incisor Teeth extending from the Jawbone; Interestingly enough, Concentric Circles form beneath its outer casing akin to Tree Rings and their recorded Markings of Growth.

While they are beautiful to appreciate, few take Greed to a new level and forcibly steal that which is not and will never be theirs to take; From Poachers to Organized Crime Syndicates, the Ivory Trade fuels a vicious cycle of Death and Finance. Far too many Animals have been unethically slaughtered for their prized Teeth by those devoid of Empathy; The Consequence for Poaching is Extinction. Ivory is harvested because of its Worth and Malleability for sculpting; If not carved into ‘works of art,’ it is most often shaped as dominos or piano keys. The extensive Supply Chain for processing this material only strengthens the rooting of such Corruption.

Countries like Africa, China and the United Kingdom have openly permitted Massacre to procure valued treasures from the reaping; Nothing in this World is worth sacrificing innocent Life for. However, Balance is slowly being restored as more start to enforce Lifetime Imprisonment Bans for the Poaching and Distributing of Ivory; These Changes are helping to drastically lower demand, thus rendering them cost-ineffective. In this Collective Ecosphere, Coexistence is only possible through mutual consensus; With Awareness comes Power✨
